What to do on a rainy day.

This morning the rain was falling looking like there would be no let up. I suggested to husband that as it was raining we could go to Cheddar Gorge caves. Its only an hour or so up the motorway.
What a fantastic place to go (for adults and children) the caves are absolutely magnificent with the stalactites and stalagmites in the caves being around a quarter of a million years old. You pay a price of £11.50 per adult you can get family tickets too, but this covers all the attractions, the car park is also then free and if like us you didn't get to do everything on the ticket, it is valid for TEN years for you to go back again.

We had a nice lunch in a riverside cafe, looked around the little shops, the highlight being the home made sweetie shop. Where there was a demonstration, they were making humbugs, yummy. Then we trundled home, and lo behold the sun has now broken through the cloud.
