Yes you read the title correctly, I read in one of the tabloid papers yesterday that Woolworth's already had EASTER EGGS on sale, for god sake what is this world coming too....
Rant over...
Apart from that everything normal, had a very very very bad hangover yesterday, you would of thought that I was too old for that sort of thing but however, it appears not. Here is the story.... suggested going to pub for a short while and getting a Chinese on way back for tea, all sounds perfectly good so far, got down the pub at 7.30pm ish all intentions to leave about 9.00pm this kept flying out of the window and finally left at 11.30pm ish, all would of been good if it had of been left there, but we got home and a bottle of vodka came out..... need i say more.
I am not looking for sympathy, this is the first time this year that I have suffered so terribly badly the next day.. damn nearly made it a year.
Can miles truly separate you from friends... If you want to be with someone you love, aren't you already there?

Another xmas gone
Quiet and lovely for me this year, no cooking for 150 people (8, but always felt like it). No hard slog to make it good for everyone else, just me and my new man. We both decided Xmas dinner who needed it, so we had a plateful of homemade chips, honey roast ham and egg. Minimum effort and minimum washing up, lovely.
I slowly demolished a litre bottle of mint chocolate baileys followed by a few vanilla and raspberry vodkas and was quite happily merry when toddled off to bed.
Today puddled about in tidying up the garden, and just on second beer, again just so peaceful no shouting, having to run around after everyone, lovely.....must be time for a snooze soon.....

Finally home
Yep finally made it back from my travels, despite delays due to fog, baggage not being loaded and having to fill forms out at stupid oclock in the morning at gatwick.
Looking at some of your blog sites some of you have had a rough old time, you know who you are. I will over the next few days try and write some witty ancedotes about my travels to cheer the few of you that read this up.
Loving your work.

Great Aunt Shywoo
In all my excitement of blogging today forgot to add, my niece has had a little girl. I am not even 40yrs old yet and a Great aunt, that really makes you feel old. Still I will have plenty of time to practice being cantankerous!!
Enjoying life
I haven't blogged again for about two weeks as I never seem to know what to write that is going to appeal, though I don't think anyone does actually read this for one minute, well maybe one person who shall remain nameless.
There I go again, it just come out as total waffle. Okay lets get back on track what have I been doing these last two weeks. I have become a labourer, that is to say my partner is the builder and I have been doing the donkey work for him. He got a job re fencing, rendering, building a wall and laying 2 ton of gravel. I have had a great time, demolition seems to be my thing, ripping down and breaking up that old fence was very therapeutic, I also had a go at rendering and pointing out the brick work. Apart from being bloody hard labour, shovelling sand and cement into the cement mixer it was fab and would definitely do it again. On the down side, I seized up completely and was walking as if I was a 100yrs old.
The job has finished and this week we have been relaxing, yesterday went to the pictures and watched ratatouille. Great film, I want one.
Next week Monday am off to home town for three days then going up country to stay with friends so wont be back for week or so, then on 7th Dec am off to the lovely isle that is Fuerturventura for two weeks. Where did i find time to go to the office?

What day am I on
I keep saying this were does time go, I know in my last blog I promised pictures, as yet been unable to get camera out and download photos, just seem still never to have enough time. How did I find time to go to work.
This week though I have been working with my partner, you see let me explain I have left my comfortable desk, at a 9-5 office with a steady income after 6 years of slogging it out daily with all the bitching and back biting and am now a labourer.
Yep all the week been outdoors learning to build walls and putting up fencing, and you know what, why have I never done this before, okay it gets bloody cold at times, but I am outside, not stuck in a stuffy office! I love it.
I suppose really I should mention Bulgarian trip, it was a lovely place and the people seem friendly enough, but the language will be a huge problem. Though saying this we have put a deposit down on a small holding with nearly 3 quarters of an acre of land, it has a vine yard and fruit trees, a garage, a massive barn, a gorgeous courtyard and a two bedroom house with cellar.
It is very picturesque, tucked away in a small village in the Ludgorie Mountains, beautiful undeveloped.....I will post some pictures of this, but this is ideal for developing, the barn is massive and will easily convert to a two bedroom guest house, the land is within regulation so this can also be built on.
I fear I am rambling enough already I get carried away.. the downside the written language so symbols 39 letters in there alphabet....Am looking for lessons, will keep you all posted

Sore Head
Well I've only bloody gone and done it, that's it freeeeee!!!.
It was a really good night last and I managed to wind quite a few people up, who cares now I'm gone, left..kaput!!
Am actually not feeling too bad, this was probably largely due to the fact that my partner, thought it was his leaving do, and managed to get extremely pissed, which had the effect of actually sobering me up quite considerably in order to get us home.
How times have changed..............

Last day
Tomorrow the last day. Six years I have been toiling for this current firm, and what thanks do I get £200 swiped out of my wages for being sick last week. Bloody marvellous.
Oh well on a brighter notes tomorrow evening should be good, its the end of work piss up. A few beers and watch the fireworks all those people who I have had to tolerate over the last few years or so, the brown nosing bar*****ds that would stab you in the back as soon as look at you.
I am planning on a few choice words to a few people one in particular I shall be asking which face shall I slap......Can't wait!!!
Probably will have a sore head on Saturday, if I am feeling sorry enough for myself I may update on my current state.

Nearly the End
Again I seem to have been so busy and not blogged for ages, I just think that I will do that, then tomorrow never comes.
I have my last three days left of work, Yes I handed my notice in on the 1st of October. It has been so hard to continue going in to work from that time, that I seriously have nearly walked before my end of contract. Though I always say, never burn your bridges you never know when you might need to go back.
What Next,
Well next week, Monday Me and my partner have booked a trip to Bulgaria to begin veiwing properties to invest, exciting scary times ahead. It seems my wish of getting away from all the pressures of family blah, blah, blah is coming true.
Great

Staff
Staff, what strange animals they are. I have now 5 staff and each month regular as clockwork it is "one to one". This is where I sit down with each member of staff individually and ask them what they think of their progress for the month and then I tell them what I think.
Its a really good idea it keeps them motivated and they know that they can come and talk to you at anytime.
I have one girl in particular she is very moody, immature and thinks she it great. Yesterday she got told in no uncertain terms to shut up or push off. This bought on the tears, but somewhere down the line I really don't think I have got to the bottom of her or her problem (s).
She is unfortunately dating one of the other managers in the office and talks to him, he has opinions himself about how I am doing my job and what i should be doing. I also told him in no uncertain terms to butt out.
Bloody work I will glad when Monday comes. Yes Monday is day notice is being put in, then in 30 days time I will be free of all this crap - hurrah!!!.

No time
Wow I cant believe it has been nearly 3 weeks since I lasted blogged. No I havent fallen off the end of the planet.
My world seems to have taken on a slightly different view of late, my new man bless him wants to buy a property abroad and then spend time etc doing them up, ie property developing. I must say having had a look across the globe there are certainly some fantastic opportunities to be had, so I have agreed.
In a week or so I will be handing in my notice at work, then we will have around three months to find, buy and move abroad. Yes I have started to make lists numerous of things to do!! How exciting, for those of you who have ever read a book called "who moved my cheese" then you might say, my current cheese is getting moldy.
More updates to follow on progress of things to come!

Cant give a job away
As mentioned in my last blog, I was supposed to have a stint of interviews today. I invited THREE people in for an interview and only ONE had the bloody courtsey to turn up.
The job advertised was not diffcult, letter stuffing, shredding and scanning documents, easy money for a 16 or 17yrs old, if they could be bothered. the youth of today, however the young lady that did appear seemed very keen, was punctual and polite and yes I am going to offer her the job!! Well done her. The others that didnt turn up, need not apply in future and stop wasting my bloody time.
Rant over.

What to write
Though it's been a week or two since my last blog, without the risk of sounding really boring not a lot has happened. Still work, eat & sleep.
Wednesday I have a stint of interviews to do as am getting a new member of staff (at last).
Friday am off back to home town, for a few days while new man finalises his house move/sale.
He is up there now will be joining him for weekend and long arduous drive back yuck, my journey by train to see him at weekend takes nearly 6 hours, yuck too.
Friday is gonna be a long day, 6.00am start, 4.21pm train arrive at home town 10.00pm!
In fact am knackered now, might go to bed and get some sleep in !!

Cant beat a bit of bully!
I managed to sit down and relax a bit earlier tonight, flicking through channels as you do, found as the title suggest Bullseye. Followed by even cheesier 3-2-1. What great programs they were, bloody hilarious, they make no sense and some of the contestant are real miseries, brilliant !!
Am looking forward to a nice relaxing bank holiday weekend, with pubbing high on the agenda, and maybe if the weather is good a bbq.
Dropped my car over to hubby as agreed he could use to take the old folks to kent for the weekend so cant drive anywhere, food and beer is looking good.
Not much else to waffle about, but thought I'd blog as might not be in a fit state for next few days.

Time
Where has all the time gone, I cant believe it has been over two weeks since my last blog, and despite all the reassurances that I was going to blog this has not happened.
My life seems to be so filled that I never seem to have a spare moment, today for example, rise around 6.30am, work by 7.30am home again around 4.30pm.
Then and this is my favourite bit of the day, I went off to the local beach and had a good old fashioned paddle in the sea and a lovely walk along the beach, beautiful it was. A small secluded beach usually used mainly by locals, as most of the tourists gone down the road to Paignton.
Back home for about 6.30pm, tea, wash and clear up, shower, then settle for a couple of hours of telly. (Tribe at 9.00pm tonight, Bruce Parry is fantastic). Then bed around 10.00pm, to start the next day.
Sometimes a few more hours or less working hours in the day would be lovely. Still my life is not boring!

Gadding about again
God it seems I never seem to have a weekend free, last weekend, my new mans sister came for a visit, what a lovely woman, obviously we ended up getting completely plastered over the Four days she was here.
This weekend am off to visit an old friend who lives in Kent and her husband so am off again, it seems like my life with my husband was a million trillion years ago.
Life is exciting fun, and there never seems enough hours in the day, but in a good way. I think I am living again!!!

My interview
I have been challenged to answer the following five questions as honestly as I dare following a previous tag from one of my friends who set me these questions ;-
Five questions that you'd be prepared to answer on your blog. Hmmm.+
Question
1. Do you ever get frustrated that people don't always see past the "party animal" to the real
you?
Answer
Me a party animal, never!! Seriously NO, It means that no one expects anything, you can behave as badly as you dare and no one expects anything less!.
I tend to find the people that count know me and love me for who I am anyway.
Question
2. Big city or smaller town?
Answer
Smaller town
Question
3. Are you happy, hon? Honestly.
Answer
This was the question that has given me the most thought process. In fact due to the question I looked up the word happiness. At the present time I can honestly say looking at the definition, this is me. So I guess the answer is Yes. (If you would like any further elborations, email me privately and I will explain)
Question
4. Would you describe yourself as "practical" around the house? Cooking, putting up shelves, sewing on buttons etc
Answer
Yes I absolutely love cooking. I have my own set of power tools eg, sander, detail sander, heat gun, wallpaper stripper, I am always happy to have ago, though I admit not always sucessfully, but I am pretty nifty with a screwdriver. I hate sewing, ironing though I can do them if required.
Question
5. In a movie of your life which actress would play you?
Answer
This was also a really tough question, though me being tall, skinny and blonde it does narrow things down abit. I think Rene Zellwegger could be contender.
So if you want to play along and now be interviewed by me, please leave me a comment or send an email saying: "Interview me."
*I will respond by asking you five questions. I get to pick the questions.
* You will update your weblog with the answers to the questions.
* You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the same post.
* Then others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions and so on.

Not enough time
I never rarely seem to have five mins to do a decent blog about anything, I have lots of ideas and think, I will blog about that, alas I never seem to find the time at the moment.
Just a quick update, just returned from the lovely Greek island of Corfu. I took my friend little Garfield and I have lots of pictures which I will publish later of Garfield on holiday, in fact he caused such a stir that other people wanted to photograph him too.
Hogger of limelight thats the last time.....ra ra ra....

A new life
Sorry about the break in blogs, however, since my last blog all the way back in Jan 07. my life has taken a strange twist of fate. Several things seem to have happened all at once, and now I have split from my husband and moved house, and my career has taken off.
I found out a very good friend of mine died, she was 43yrs!, very sad and tragically which shook my whole world, suddenly when I needed support from my nearest and dearest I found myself dreadfully and terribly alone. I found new depths of despair, all the previous tragedies that have happened over the past three or four years have all been on the side of my husbands family, and I have provided the support, care and love for him, his children and his mother, now when I needed them all most they were not there, I found I had no one!.
This also was extremely shocking and I couldn't get my head around these things, I decided that something in my life had to change, my husband wasn't going to, so I had to change something.
This has resulted in me leaving my husband, renting my own property nearer to my place of work, a small two up, two down and I am really enjoying life again.
More blogs will follow as to my exploits (and there will be a few) already I have been in bushes, mooned in the street, and been a girl behaving badly!!!!! FREEEEEDOMMMMMM is great.

MCS Napoli
Yesterday for a drive out, hubby and I drove no where in particular but we ended up in Sidmouth. I was a bit surprised to see how busy it was in the middle of winter and why everyone was walking around with binoculars around there necks was also beyond me. I thought maybe a rare bird had been spotted and the twitchers were out.
Until we walked down to the sea front and there she was the ground ship, there were even french camera crews there.

Sorry about the quality, I took it with my mobile, the fact that the heavens were about to open doesnt make it clearer. I was going to blog about it yesterday, in which I would of been the reporter on the spot, but alas it was not to be, now the nationals have picked it up and I am out of a job!.

A Throw away Society
I was deeply shocked, at a complete throw away society we live in today. Let me explain;- This morning hubby and I took a trip to Exeter, a little retail therapy for me, whilst the sales still on.
I took with a me a pair of boots that I wanted re heeled. We found a Timpson (name and shame) shoe repairers, I took the boots in, they advised to re heel said boots would of cost £10.95 !!!
The boots only cost £9.99 when I bought them brand, new !!. I told them this too!!.
The boots are now in the bin, and I went a bought a new pair, exactly the same for £9.99. I want to know how can a heel on a boot cost more than a brand new pair?! They must be raking in a huge profit, disgusting !!
Thats my rant over for the day....well so far..

The World of Darts
Last night (Weds) yep you've guessed it, darts night. This week we had ladies competitions, in the next town, most of the ladies in our team joined forces and one volunteered to drive, so we were all set. My friend who was my partner actually lives in the town so she was able to walk to the pub. One being driven & one walking = girls behaving badly, whoops.
On a serious note we were there for the darts, that what I kept telling myself. We managed to win the first match 2-1, though how god only knows, highest scores probably around 40. Next round we managed to win too 2-0 we were on fire the old team back together, yeah, all the while the drinks are flowing. We had also bought members of the team who were not playing for support. Winning the second game meant we were in the final, to go be able to go to finals night for a playoff to win the whole competition, only one more game to win.
Our final opponents, whilst being known to us, did include two county darts players, no chance we thought, we lost the first leg, then we took the second, made us level all on the last leg, but alas it was not meant to be, and we sadly let the opportunity slip from our grasp.
It was a good night out and only a game, so why then did some of the other women from some of the other teams, do nothing all night, apart from back stab, call out while people where throwing there darts, and try and cheat at the scoring. Anyone would think you were playing for the crown jewels. I know now why I stopped playing darts for the ladies only league on a Thursday and last night reinforces my decision.
On a serious note we were there for the darts, that what I kept telling myself. We managed to win the first match 2-1, though how god only knows, highest scores probably around 40. No Title
In the absence of the fact I have not done anything remotely interesting this weekend I haven't blogged.
My weekend up to thus far, Sat, was my step dads birthday so spent some time with him, then my stepsister asked me to interest her Internet access, which took all of the afternoon. Hubby and I at 9.30ish went to the pub for a few drinks with family.
Sunday got up late, went for a drive called into a few shops to look at sale items, then at lunchtime treated hubby to a carvery at one of our favourite restaurants.
Quite boring really now we have to go and see stepson and grandkids to finish off the day with a bit of telly (for hubby) computer for me.
Not a bit exciting..

Time
It seems now I am back at work, I dont seem to have time to do any sensible blogs. There is also not much to tell, hubby off work again, due to illness that I had. My new nickname for him is SICKNOTE.
MIL seems to be a bit better, though I have been really worried about her, she is still not well, but get her to go the doctors, you must be joking.
Now I am back at work it seems never ending, chores, and running around for the sickies. I am due a visit to my old home town on the 25th Jan for 3 days, this is something to look forward too. Seeing my new nephew, and some of my very dear old friends will be good.

Lazy Day
I must of really been tired. I did not go to bed until 12.30am ish, the next thing it is 11.00am this morning, I never sleep that long, let alone stay in bed that long.
So the day has gone in a round of chores, shopping, cooking cleaning, the usual, looking after MIL who is still ill, making sure her library books went back, getting her dinner, etc. Hubby walking around like a dead duck too, then stepdaughter called in. Now I know why I normally get up early !!. Even though I slept so long, it feels like it must be bed time again. This, for, yes is indeed a lazy day!
I was supposed to have gone out last night and tonight, a work thing, I was told by my boss, as a senior member of staff I was expected to attend. I am still not 100% from this cold etc, so advised him I would not be attending. In other words, bugger off I am not up to it (as it nearly came out). I am so glad now I did, though I was tempted for a minute or too....

5-0
Managed another full day at work, though really did not want to get up this morning, felt really tired and my bed was so nice and warm, all to myself. Hubby has been in spare room for over week due to his and mine incessant coughing. He still is coughing so for the time being this will continue. I get better nights sleep so have asked him to make it permanent arrangement.
Enough of my sleeping arrangement, again I fear I am waffling.
I cant go on any longer without mentioning the disastrous defeat of England in the Ashes. I think England were playing a different game to the Australians. The worst defeat of the Ashes since 1928 or some such date.
Presumably as these people get paid to play? will they now be sacked or pay deducted for not performing? If I did not perform well in my job, I wouldn't have one.
Surely we can do better then this, sorry but this is not good enough, come on England pull your socks up..

Back to normal
What ever is the world coming too, I feel normal, well germ free-ish and more like me again. Happy, and ready to face the world.
Good news, stepdaughter has advised she has finished with her loser of a boyfriend. Suddenly the start to the New Year doesn't seem so bad.
I spoke to one of my friends yesterday who worked all over the Xmas and New Year period, and due to this and me feeling so ill, we have decided to have our very own little New Year and Christmas party, with party hats and decorations etc later this month. Yeah !!!
Now I have got into the habit of waffling on a daily blog, but I doubt if anyone is reading my drivel, so I guess it doesn't really matter, just as well I suppose.

Sickness Saga
Sickness saga, indeed!!. I rang in sick to work today, so I have been trying my best to be well enough for tomorrow, at least I seem to have stopped coughing so much and did manage a whole nights sleep last night. Whooppeeeeee!!!.
Over the last week or so, it seems I have not thought about much except how miserable I have been feeling, while everyone around is enjoying themselves.
To this end it seems to me that the true heros are the people who suffer from untreatable diseases, that never seem to complain and just bare their illness with quiet dignity. My heart also goes out to their carers, people who give up their own lives selflessly to help their loved ones.
Some of my friends and family have these types of illnesses, and there husbands/wives stand tall next to them. Taking them through the pain, almost living it with them. I dont know if I could do it.
Could you ?
Therefore, I now feel, I must apologise for being totally selfish going on in such an inane and pathetic way ( well I did put in an earlier blog that we I am ill I am pathetic). So here it is.....
Please accept my most humble apologises, I am soooo sorry. :)

Work
I did manage to crawl out of my pit at 6.00am, just when my body decided it was better to sleep.
I had to go to work as year/month end, reports to run, which my assistant is not yet fully trained to do. I finished around 10.30ish, hung around a bit pretending I was fine, while coughing and spluttering on my desk. I made sure everyone noticed, so as they did not think I was skivving. (day after New Year, I would of been suspicious if it was my assistant).
Then came home, I am feeling a bit better now though, perhaps work has focused the mind.........Tommorrow is another day..

Back to work
Shit shit, shit, back to work in about 7.00 hours, cant sleep everytime I lay down I seem to cough. Got my act together a bit this avo, we had visitors I could of done without. Somehow I managed to act as hostess, put a loaf of bread on and make cottage pie.
Now if I could only sleep I might feel like I am getting better.

Update
Still feeling rough, just am plain bored now.
I have missed all my friends and family hugely, especially the hugging and kissing of last night, you know who you are.
I am feeling really sorry for myself and more than once, already this year been in floods of tears. What a great start to the year, yet tomorrow I somehow have to pick myself up and go back to work. Perhaps this will concentrate the mind and make me feel better, though the way it is going, highly unlikely. Maybe more raving drivel later......

Feeling like a rats arse
Why is it when you are feeling like the title, and you need to sleep, you can't?.
I could not sleep finally dropping off around 2.00am the morning, I have been awake for about an hour.
In the end thought I would arise and blog, just to pass some time. Hope you all enjoyed the festitivites of last night. Actually there is probably a fair proportion of you, that are feeling like the title too, through the excesses of last night.
For christmas my mother bought me a book titled "500 of the Weirdest & Wackiest Web sites. I spent a fair amount of time yesterday browsing. One of the wackiest I looked at was Cow-Tipping.
Bizarre, have a good 2007 all.
