Husband, I and mother in law are off to a garden party tomorrow up in Gloucester. We are leaving early in the morning and staying the night at husbands sisters, which is always good, she is lovely, I get a lie in and breakfast cooked for me, yummy.
The downside, is it is husbands family, which is a big family so there is quite a lot of bitching. This usually means we have to try to juggle meals with different people so as not to put anyone's backs up.
Mother-In-Law(MIL) usually stays with one sister and husband and I stay with the other one. MIL doesn't really want to go, but I am making her, I think she will enjoy seeing all the family together, which she doesn't see often. At 85yrs MIL is really good for her age, but she likes the comfort of home, so getting her to go anywhere is a real achievement.
